Aldershot, Farnham & District won both the women's and men's Southern League matches at Guildford on Saturday.
In a fixture which brought together five of the top eight in the men's second division, AFD were the only club not to have won in either of the two previous rounds and their huge margin of victory was exemplified by Paul Laslett's personal best performance in the 400 metres. He won by over one and a half seconds and his 48.9 removed eight tenths from his previous figures.
Jasper Ellis won the 'B' string in 52.9 as AFD scored maximum points in two thirds of the individual track events. Ed Jackson had appeared to be out of contention on the final bend of the 800, but fought his way to the front by the line which he reached in 1min 56.7. John Howarth front-ran 1min 59.5 for his 'B' win.
Richard Batchelor's closest rival in the 5,000 as he clocked 15mins 42.6 was Karl Corpes in 16mins 05.7. Ali Smith (9mins. 56.1) won the steeplechase from Mike Boucher (9-59.7).
Dan Acheson took the 1,500 in 4mins 02.1, while John Aspell claimed the 'B' in 4-07.1.
Immediately after, Chris Tebbett (23.7) and Sam Medlar (23.5) took care of the 'A' and 'B' 200 respectively.
In the final event of the day, Tebbett (50.9) teamed up with Ellis (53.0), Laslett (48.1) and Acheson (51.2) for a convincing victory in the 4 x 400 relay after also anchoring the successful sprint relay quartet which included Glen Reddington, Tony Talbot and Medlar.
Talbot featured in one of two doubles achieved by AFD in the field. He took the 'B' triple jump and his distance of 12m 21 was bettered only by Mark Edwards on 12m 56. Andy Buchanan triumphed with 4m 20 in the pole vault as Boucher took the 'B' at 2m 80.
At nearly 30 points, the women's margin of victory was slightly greater than the men's. They scored maximum points for all four of the senior throwing events in their first division contest.
The discus was won by Debbie Callaway, the south of England silver medallist, from Vickie Foster, the bronze medallist, 45m 93 to 45m 81, but Foster had beaten her club colleague, 14m 06 to 12m 19, in the shot where she also gained a bronze the previous weekend.
Foster triumphed with 38m 77 in the hammer where she was partnered by Noelle Bradshaw (33m 68) who moved up to 'A' string for the javelin (41m 99) where Nicola Smith took the 'B'with 31m 05. Bradshaw was relegated to the 'B' on countback in the vault by Shirley Austin, as both cleared 3m 20, and in the long jump (5m 20) where Gemma Holt's 5m 55 ensured another double.
The only doubles on the track came from the U/15 girls. Charlotte Browning won the 800 'A' by nearly 20 seconds in 2mins 18.8 and the 'B' race was won in 2mins 24.9 by Leonie Smith whom she beat to the south of England 1,500 metres title last month.
The longer distance was won by Laura Tanner (4mins 49.1) whose closest challenger was Nicola Bartholomew (4-59.4).
The seniors' metric mile was won by Lucy Vaughan with over 17 seconds to spare in 4mins 37.2. Surrey silver medallist Sam Male won the sprint hurdles in 15.5 and Alexia Easey claimed the U/15 200 in 27.7.
