VISITORS from near and far enjoyed everything Rowledge had to offer over the recent bank holiday weekend, as the annual village fayre lit up the recreation ground for the 38th time.

With more than 50 organisations in attendance, visitors were kept entertained for the whole day. Activities ranged from fairground rides, sports, a super slide, tug of war and a Total Wipeout course; to a dog show, crockery smashing, a human fruit machine and bric-a-brac stalls.

And not forgetting the nourishment corner, where visitors treated themselves to cream teas, food from the barbecue and candy floss.

As highlighted on the events website, the village fayre committee wish to thank the following for their support in 2017:

The Hare & Hounds, Forest Lodge, Birdworld, Frensham Heights, Ian Carter, Cherryfields, Rowledge School, Hedgehogs, Brownies, Scouts, Rowledge Village Hall, Michael Humphries, Rowledge Cricket Club, Rowledge Garage, Bob and Pat Frost, Wyatt Ramsdale, St. John Ambulance, Riverprint and the many other helpers on the day of the fayre.
