FARNHAM Lions held its 21st annual golf day at Hindhead Golf Club last Thursday , this year sponsored by Howard Taylor Associates in aid of the Peter Alliss Masters Charity which funds electric wheelchairs for disabled children.

Despite the occasional shower it was a great day much enjoyed by the 87 competitors, many of who have become regular participants to this popular competition.

A good morning of golf was followed by lunch, an auction and the prize giving with the awards presented by the legendary Peter Alliss, whose presence and wit enthralled all present.

A wonderful day was rounded off with the news that the proceeds from the day totalled £10,000.
