Alton Town Football Club have appointed a new manager, following the departure of Vic Holland three weeks ago.
The Hampshire League champions of 1998/99 have managed to secure the services of Alan Humphries, formerly involved with local clubs Aldershot and Basingstoke and coach to professionals at Fulham, Leyton Orient and Brentford. He takes up the post on Monday October 11.
