Forty-six enthusiastic kids set off from Fernhurst Community Centre for the annual egg hunt along the Easter chick trail, which took them past the church and primary school.

This year, there were boxed egg prizes for every entrant plus a winner in each of three age categories. Iain Brown, the centre’s retiring chairman, supervised the road crossings and a team of volunteers looked after refreshments for returning participants.
