ST Mark’s Church in Hale is hosting an event called ‘Lest We Forget’ on November­ 12 at 7pm for a 7.30pm start to help raise money to save ‘Emily’ the pipe organ.

Jonathan Jones, the Farnham Town Crier, will be performing poetry, remembering the Great War, and there will we refreshments and music. Entry is free but donations are very welcome.

Reverend Lesley Crawley said: “This should be another wonderful evening, don’t miss it. I am extremely grateful to Jonathan for performing for us once again. These fundraising events have had a lovely community atmosphere and have helped us to get closer to repairing a beautiful Edwardian pipe organ.”

St Mark’s Church is in Alma Lane, Upper Hale.
