AFTER turning down a retrospective planning application for a gypsy settlement on land east of Devil's Lane in Liphook this summer, five appeals have been launched by Fred Keet and his daughter Shannon Keet.

Despite a recommendation by officers for a three-year temporary permission, members of East Hampshire District Council's planning committee refused the application by Mr Keet, with a majority vote of seven to one, after more than 30 objections had been logged.
