SEVEN talented young sailors from Frensham Pond Sailing Club have teamed up with a mobile phone case company to help raise the £10,000 needed to fund their trip to the World Championships in Argentina.

Peter Woodd, CEO of Farnham-based Case Station and himself a Frensham sailor, has offered to donate £10 to anyone ordering a personalised phone case online at www.casestation.com and specifying ‘Frensham Cadets’.

Frensham Pond Sailing Club has produced several previous World Champions in the cadet class, which is a small racing dinghy designed for children aged 12 to 17 years old.

However, in order to send its latest cohort of cadet-class sailors and their boats to Argentina it needs to raise £10,000, and is planning an array of fund raising events in addition to the phone case offer.

For more information or to donate directly to the sailors’ appeal, email [email protected]. Alternatively, cheques marked ‘Cadet’ can be sent to Frensham Pond Sailing Club, Pond Lane, Churt, Surrey, GU10 2QA.
