Artist Sinéad Fox helped 74 children and adults make sparkling beaded snowflakes in a snow-themed family craft workshop at Brightwells Yard in Farnham on November 30.

The event was organised by the New Ashgate Gallery, which has two more free drop-in festive craft sessions coming up.

There will be Mizuhiki Knotting with Nao Fukumoto at the Farnham Christmas Market in Castle Street and The Borough on December 14 from 10am to 3.30pm.

This traditional Japanese craft uses cords made from washi paper. Visitors can learn to tie decorative knots with hidden meanings and make elegant festive decorations to take home. It is a calm, hands-on activity for adults and children.

Sinéad Fox will host another snow-themed workshop at Brightwells Yard on December 21 from midday until 3pm.

Families can create bold winter scenes using tape-resist techniques, watercolour washes and strong snowflake shapes. The session will focus on open-ended, seasonal making and is suitable for all ages.
