IT’S not too early to talk about Christmas says a Farnham artist, who is making her name in the Christmas card industry.
When Susie Lidstone was commissioned to produce the 2016 Christmas card for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, she suggested they should also consider producing mugs bearing the image.
“Then The Dandyarthouse who produce a lot of my cards started producing mugs so I approached them and they supplied a couple of mug proofs for the charity to approve,” says Susie.
“With the charity’s approval, I am going to sell the original painting at my stand at The Farnham Maltings Christmas Fair from November 30 to December 1.
“Half the proceeds of the sale will go to the charity, the mugs will also be on sale with half the sale proceeds going to the charity, too.”
Following her Christmas card design for Phyllis Tuckwell, Susie was then approached by Queen Bee Designs, a publishing house that produces cards for hospices throughout the UK.
