AVELEY Lane in The Bourne is to be closed from Monday (August 15) to allow a new home at the rear of Grade II listed Heron Court to be connected to the gas main.

Hannah Brett, a spokesman for gas provider SGN which is undertaking the work, said: “We need to temporarily close Aveley Lane at its junction with Middle Bourne Lane while we connect a new supply to our network.

“This work will take approximately four days to complete starting on Monday, August 15. Access to Aveley Lane will be maintained via the A287 Frensham Road.

“We’d like to thank both motorists and local residents in advance for their patience during our work.”
