AN alternative Christmas was on the menu at the Bungalow, Upper Hale, on Friday, December 16, when all there had fun watching a demonstration by Stu Henshall, ex-Great British Bake Off contestant, musician and now a prolific food blogger.
As well as watching there was an opportunity to share in the making of a mushroom and squash wellington, apple and sage stuffing balls and hasselback potatoes.
And after all the cooking, it was time to sit down and enjoy the eating of a delicious meal, served up with non-alcoholic mulled wine.
Norma Corkish, chair of trustees at the Bungalow, said: “We were very fortunate to have Stu with us. All there discovered a truly delicious vegetarian option to traditional Christmas turkey.”
