PLANNING committee member Charles Berry has resigned from Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council.

A council spokesman said Mr Berry’s work commitments precluded him from continuing in his role as a parish councillor.

The vacancy has been advertised by East Hampshire District Council and on parish council noticeboards.

If a request by 10 local electors for an election has not been received by Thursday, November 23, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

Joanna Cadman has been appointed as locum executive officer for the coming year while Peter Stanley is on sabbatical leave, returning next autum, She will be based at the Haskell Centre, on Midhurst Road, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. She will be working alongside the recently appointed deputy executive officer Denise Meek.
