FARNHAM Town Council is inviting groups and organisations to apply for funding from its 2016 community grant budget. Bids can be made for one-off projects that will improve the environment and/or community life.
In 2015, grants were awarded to a variety of projects such as the Farnham Schools Art Exhibition, environmental improvements at the Bourne and pop-up craft workshops organised by the Farnham Maltings for local families.
John Ward, leader of the town council said: “Each year, Farnham Town Council awards over £50,000 to local community groups and organisations.
“The applications we approved for this year’s funding have resulted in improved community facilities or services and opportunities for people to extend existing skills or learn new ones.
“The community grant scheme makes a real difference to people’s lives and helps to make Farnham a better place to live”
Applicants can apply for up to £2,000. An application form and the grant criteria can be downloaded from the website www.farn
ham.gov.uk/grants or a copy can be requested by calling 01252 712667. The deadline for submitting applications is December 11.
Small grants can also be sought for up to £200 at any time of the year by applying to the town clerk at Farnham Town Council.
