THE Bordon and Oakhanger Sports Club (BOSC) is now closed ahead of work to improve it.

Commenting on the plans for the sports club, James Child, project lead at the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company, said the firm was “delighted” to deliver “a few of the projects that form part of the Whitehill and Bordon regeneration programme”.

He added: “These projects include community facilities in the Hogmoor Inclosure, making it a fantastic green space for the community; plans for the first phase of housing at Prince Philip Barracks, and plans for a new sports hub and a new sports ground at the BOSC.

“Plans for the new sports hub and BOSC have been finalised and consist of a two-storey pavilion; a cricket pitch, available to use from summer 2017; tennis courts; a bowling green; a petanque area; a play area; two football pitches, useable during the winter, and a parking area. Work will begin on the housing and sports projects.
