PETROLHEADS and boy racers are putting their lives at risk by burning late-night rubber at an East Hampshire beauty spot.

Hampshire Police are on the trail of motorists who have turned part of Queen Elizabeth Country Park into a "Formula One racetrack".

They are using the main car park as an impromptu circuit with at least three late-night meetings taking place since Christmas.

The police have been notified several times and have come close to catching the culprits, according to park manager Tim Speller.
