The Ridgeway School in Farnham is trying to raise £475,000 to revamp its playground.

The current structure is in dire need of repair, and the limited space means there is not enough room for all students to enjoy it.

The school is for young people between the ages of two and 19-years-old with severe or profound multiple learning difficulties.

Headteacher Tom Byrne said: “The aim is to provide a safe, stimulating space for all our young people to enjoy, where they can take their learning outdoors, through structured learning opportunities and play, and access a calming outdoor environment for regulation and downtime.”

Members of the school are actively involved in the process with plans for a staff skydive in April.

The school needs to raise the money by summer so work can be completed this year.
