EAST Hampshire District Council says it will continue its search for an operator to run a natural burial ground after no one came forward who was qualified to run it.
EHDC cabinet member Richard Millard said: "Unfortunately we did not receive a bid that was compliant with the council's stringent requirements and we can't compromise on this important project for the local area.
"This is not the end of the story; it is just a chapter in the book. The council is still committed to delivering a natural burial ground on this site."
