THE chairman of the scrutiny committee investigating the running and management the district's green centre at East Meon, the Earthworks Trust, has called for East Hampshire District Council funding of the project to cease.
Richard Hope told the Herald: "I have come to the conclusion that as responsible councillors we should not legally or morally risk tax payers' money on funding such a highly speculative project."
