BRAMSHOTT and Liphook Parish Council’s recreation committee has agreed to set up a working party to compile a list of capital projects, which could benefit from developers contributions.

The working party will be made up of recreation committee members, including chairman James Green, Jeanette Kirby, Jackie Poole, Eddie Trotter and groundsman Pete Terry, with an option to include members of the community at a later stage.

Currently the sum held by East Hampshire District Council for recreation and open spaces in Liphook amounts to £179,000 and parish councillors are expected to put forward a shortlist.

Chairman Andrew Oxton and vice-chair John Raeyen of Liphook United FC have asked for financial support with the football pitch drainage and maintenance at the Recreation Ground, which has hampered their ability to play matches this season.

Councillors have asked for further suggestions by the community to be put forward for consideration.
