A SUMMER barbecue to celebrate the sixth birthday of Farnham-based home care company Right at Home GF took place earlier this month.
More than 150 clients, staff and family members gathered for the event, where there was a bouncy castle and face painting for children, along with hay bales, live music, good food and wine, and a chance to relax for the adults.
Managing director at Right at Home GF, Alastair Shanks, said: “Our annual summer barbecue for staff and clients has become a highlight of our year.
“It’s great to bring everyone together for a summer celebration - this year our eldest guest was 92 and our youngest just one week old.”
Ali Woolford, who has worked as a CareGiver with Right at Home for 18 months, added: “It was a lovely afternoon - I loved catching up with everyone and my daughter had great fun on the bouncy castle with the little ones!”
As well as enjoying each other’s company, guests raised £175 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care through a charity raffle.
Three lucky care team members even won a family ticket to this year’s Farnborough Air Show.
Val Corser, a client’s daughter, said: “Another lovely afternoon, so many enjoying themselves in the sunshine, great food, great music - thank you!”
• Right at Home supports and runs a number of local groups, including The Sunflower Cafe at the Ivy Room, Singing for the Mind at Farnham Maltings every Monday, Inclusive Cricket at Farnham Leisure Centre every Thursday and Engaging with Ageing at Farnham Hospital every second Wednesday of the month.
The next Engaging with Ageing session will be held on September 12.
Team members will also be raising money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care next month, by taking part in the Dash of Colour fun run on Saturday, September 1.
