THREE weeks after a public meeting called by the Farnham Society started pledges rolling in, around £30,000 has been promised towards buying Bishops Meadow and preserving it for the town.

The amount pledged has virtually doubled within the past week and the charitable trust set up by Farnham solicitor Jo Aylwin is "optimistic" of a happy outcome.
