SPECULATION is growing that Basingstoke Hospital could face closure as part of a plan to drag the local health authority out of the red.
It follows the revelation at a meeting last week, that the North and Mid Hampshire Health Authority, together with associated trusts, could face a £10 million shortfall in cash by the end of the year 2000.
