CATS Protection Farnham & Wey Valley Branch has received a £6,000 grant from Support Adoption For Pets, the UK’s largest grant giving animal charity, to go towards vet bills.

Based in Farnham, the charity aims to bring into its care stray, unwanted, injured, neglected cats. This is carried out by their small but dedicated band of volunteers who foster the cats in their own homes.

Laura Messenger, grant funding co-ordinator at Support Adoption For Pets, said: “It is a real privilege to help an organisation that works so hard to care for and rehome cats in need.

“They are doing a superb job, and the effort the rescue puts in is an inspiration.”

Support Adoption For Pets is an independent charity established by Pets at Home in 2006. Since then it has helped over 1,000 rehoming centres and animal welfare organisations across the UK. It also runs dedicated adoption centres in over 440 Pets at Home stores.
