PUPILS at a primary school in Wrecclesham have raised more than £1,000 for two good causes.

At the St Peter’s annual charity day, a record amount of £1,152 was raised to be shared between Farnham-based Change of Scene and Step by Step in Aldershot.

Headteacher Sarah Dunning said: “The charity day is very special in that it has absolutely no input from adults. Children sort out their own stalls, bring in their own float and market their stall, deciding what to charge for their goods or attraction.”

The school was delighted” with the sum, which was raised in just an hour and a half. Pupils voted on the charities to benefit.
