A MAJOR activities programme, encouraging tourism and learning and participation in the unique history of Farnham Castle, hangs in the balance, awaiting decision on an application for a Heritage Lottery Fund grant.

The charity Farnham Castle, which has financed and managed the site (apart from the Keep) for 46 years, has innovative plans to bring history to life for visitors, should the £895,000 project be approved.
