AS East Hampshire District Council's new chief exective takes up her role in a shared capacity with Havant Borough Council, it has been revealed that the new role will bring savings of nearly £60,000 a year to council taxpayers in each district.
Sandy Hopkins took up her shared role last week on a salary of around £125,000 – almost twice the annual salary of a Member of Parliament.
