WHITEHILL and Bordon residents who are struggling financially are being helped by a food bank, set up by churches in the area.
Synonymous with hard economic times, food banks give free emergency food to people, including families, who are in need and are facing hunger for various reasons, including redundancy, illness, family breakdown, unexpected bills, debt or a benefit delay.
Schools, churches, businesses and individuals don-ate non-perishable, in-date food to the food bank.
The food bank is based at St Mark's Church, Bordon, and operated by Robert and Rebecca Pethybridge.
