HINDHEAD Royal British Legion Club has closed for a deep clean as a precautionary measure following the coronavirus diagnosis on February 28 of a Haslemere Health Centre patient.
The club shut yesterday (March 1) and hopes to reopen before the end of the week.
Club secretary Theresa St Croix said: “We were advised by NHS Public Health we needed to close to do a deep clean yesterday.
“We hope to open again mid-week.
“We had a call that one of your customers had tested positive and Public Health has been tracing people who have been in contact.
“They have not told us who it is.
“People who have been in contact have been told to self isolate until March 10.”
