"TOWNIE" planners from Petersfield were accused of ignorance in an escalating row over the point and purpose of local consultation on vital issues in Liphook.

The row – in which villagers claim their views are being overruled by East Hampshire District Council – led to the resignation of leading Bramshott and Liphook parish councillor Jeremy Austin-Olsen from its planning committee.
