WHITEHILL councillors are expected to meet residents of the Redhouse and Sunshine caravan parks in a bid to learn more about what is happening with the site.
At Monday's meeeting of Whitehill Town Council's planning and amenities committee, councillors agreed to recommend to full council that representatives of the council meet with residents, who fear that they may lose their homes.
As previously reported, more than 100 residents of the two caravan parks off Hogmoor Road fear that they may lose their homes under plans by a new owner to modernise and update the site.
Some have already left the site after their caravan did not make the grade.
Councillors expressed their concern for the future of the residents who have been affected by the changes.
Geraldine Wreford-Meeson said: "This is a very uncomfortable situation."
Chris Wain, who chaired Monday's meeting, said that town councillor Zoya Faddy, who is also a district councillor, was up to date with the situation.
She said: "I know that Zoya has been involved in looking at this from an East Hampshire District Council point of view and the suggestion is that we have a site visit."
The committee agreed unanimously and the recommendation will go before the full council on September 24.
