HAMPSHIRE County Council is looking at ways that communities can be given more practical support to help people in extreme weather.
Council leader Ken Thornber has asked officers to report on tripling salt bins in Hampshire from 2,000 to 6,000 at a cost of £800,000, to be met from reserves used for emergencies.
