DELAYS in processing housing benefit claim forms have meant that Bordon and Whitehill's Citizen Advice Bureau has been helping more people who have been sent a court summons for non-payment of rent.

CAB manager Diana Wilson said that the work of advisers has gone up by 500 per cent because East Hampshire District Council is taking "eight to sixteen weeks" to process forms.
