HISTORY was made at Whitehill on Monday when, after the moving Flag Raising ceremony - when murdered Drum-mer Lee Rigby was remembered along with soliders killed in Afgh-anistan - a Community Covenant was signed between the Bordon Gar-rison and East Hamp-shire District Council.
The covenant is designed to help soldiers and their families make the transition from Army to civilian life by ensuring they receive fair treatment in their community. Called Action for Whitehill, the Community Covenant comes with a £30million Government grant, spread over four years, to ensure there is financial back up in place to help military personnel as they ease into civilian life.
