A SAFE, non-profit making scheme to help thousands of people across the district stave off the recession and help people avoid loan sharks and unscrupulous banking practices has been given the go ahead.
East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) last agreed to set aside £100,000 to kick-start an East Hampshire branch of Hampshire Credit Union which could be open for business later this year.
