Crowds flock to "best show in town"

ALTON Round Table's annual fireworks extravaganza attracted a massive crowd to the Bass Sports Ground, keen to enjoy "the best show in town".

With a "best guy" competition to add to the fun, the event is expected to have topped last year's takings of £2,700 - a major fund raiser for local charities.
