Customs officers were seen at a Farnham garage on Tuesday afternoon.

Several HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) officers were observed at PGI Garage’s site on Guildford Road at about 4pm, slowing traffic while vehicles were taken from a forecourt.

Witnesses reported seeing four or five officers at the scene, with a delivery van parked outside the premises and a vehicle transporter positioned nearby as cars were removed.

When approached by the Herald, officers declined to comment on the nature of their activity.

According to its website, PGI Garage is an independent, family-run dealership that has operated in Farnham for more than 30 years.

The business describes itself as a customer-focused dealership offering a range of vehicles, with services including vehicle delivery, finance options and warranties on all cars sold.

The Herald contacted PGI Garage for comment but a spokesperson declined to comment.
