A RALLY to halt what has been branded another "Valentine's Day massacre" over cuts in funding services to vulnerable people in West Sussex has been called for today.
As West Sussex County Council meets to rubber-stamp its budget for the coming year, the authority is looking to freeze its council tax demand from residents for the fourth consecutive year. Their counterparts in Hampshire are set to follow the same path by freezing their tax rate next Thursday, February 20.
With West Sussex County Council covering a number of villages near Petersfield, including Harting, Nyewood, Rake and Rogate, the Don't Cut Us Out campaign group plans to hold a rally outside the authority's offices in Chichester.
