A GROUP of Bucks Horn Oak residents have banded together to organise a Midsummer ceilidh ball in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

Rona McArdle, Julie Watts, Zoë Thomas and Heidi Santer were all keen to help Gill Hayden-Woods support the hospice in recognition of the support they gave her family after her mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Taking place at Blacknest Golf and Country Club on Saturday, June 29, the ball has been sponsored by Martin Cashmore Fencing, County Installations and Gilroy and Brookes Accountants.

The evening will include a welcome drink, a buffet supper, a raffle and plenty of dancing, and the dress code is smart with optional black tie and kilts. Raffle prizes include a distillery tour, theatre tickets and gym memberships.

Ticket sales have already raised more than £2,000.
