An off-peak lane closure by a key junction is adding to Farnham’s traffic woes with long queues developing on the bypass.

Motorists can expect around a fortnight of added disruption as the nearside lane on the eastbound A31 either side of Hickleys Corner will be closed from 10am to 3pm daily, most likely until August 17.

The closure starts just after the single lane section under the Folly Hill bridge with travel from Coxbridge roundabout to the crossroads taking around 15 minutes off-peak.

Traffic can still turn left onto South Street at the junction with the lane being closed as part of Brightwells footbridge works.

Temporary site access is being removed and the area between the bridge and A31 is being reprofiled.
