G&B, in partnership with Leeds firm Farnell Electronic Components, donated 12 Raspberry Pis to Mill Chase Academy.
A Raspberry Pi is a small single-board computer created to teach the basics of computer science.
Chloe Magee, from G&B, which is based at the Woolmer Industrial Estate, said the company was “keen to educate about the manufacturing industry” and, by donating the Raspberry Pis to the secondary school, hoped to “get students excited about the possibilities that certain electronic components have and how they can be put to use”.
She added that the company’s managing director Laura McBrown “is passionate about others being educated about electronics and the manufacturing industry itself”.
The Raspberry Pis were presented to the school last Thursday.
Year nine Mill Chase Academy pupils are pictured with G&B Electronic Designs’ managing director Laura McBrown, G&B’s Chloe Magee, Mill Chase head of computing Rob Riley, and Mill Chase senior leader Adam Beere.
