EAST Hampshire District Council has objected to Government proposals that it should find more pitches for gypsies and travellers, saying the recommendations have no foundation in evidence.
The council believes the targets drawn up by the South East England Regional Assembly are not supported by proof and would force travelling people from areas they traditionally prefer.
