Don't panic message to pension fund contributors

HAMPSHIRE County Council has been named as one of two UK councils to fall foul of a multi-billion dollar fraud that has rocked the financial world.

Its pension fund stands to lose £7.1m tied up in an alleged $50billion (£33bn) fraud under investigation in the US.

But the council has assured that there is no risk to contributors.
