For years it has seemed almost inevitable that someone would die in an accident at Wrecclesham railway bridge, and now it has happened.
On Saturday evening a lorry travelling from Portsmouth along the A325 hit the bridge. The unladen vehicle jack-knifed and toppled over, killing the 55-year-old driver instantly.
