DRIVERS have been warned of delays on the A287 at Castle Hill over the next two weeks, with Thames Water set to repair a collapsed sewer.

The repair work opposite Farnham Castle is due to begin on Monday. December 7, and expected to last until Friday, December 18. Two-way traffic lights will be in place for the duration of the work.

Thames Water said in a statement: “This work to repair a collapsed sewer is essential to prevent waste water flooding into nearby properties and the environment.

“We’ll be working hard to get the job done as quickly as possible and hope to be finished by December 18.”

Temporary traffic lights are also scheduled in Upper Hale Road near the junction with Sandy Hill Road for three days starting this Sunday (December 6), to allow South East Water to repair a leaking communication pipe.
