DESPITE a protest from the Bordon Area Action Group (BAAG) before the discussion, the draft framework masterplan for the eco-town got the thumbs up from most councillors at East Hampshire District Council's meeting on Tuesday.

Members of BAAG, as council chairman Patrick Burridge announced the masterplan item, stood up and took off their coats to reveal they were wearing T-shirts adorned with "Save Bordon - Stop the Masterplan".
