HEADTEACHER at All Hallows Catholic School in Farnham, Patrick Doyle, has left his post with immediate effect “to pursue a new career and personal opportunities”.
Mr Doyle took over from long-time head Elizabeth Lutzeier in January 2017, but reportedly resigned before half-term.
Parents were notified by email on Monday.
Chairman of the school’s governors Guy Stephens told the Herald Mr Doyle would officially leave at the end of the spring term, but “will not be returning to the school in the intervening period, by mutual and positive consent with the governing body”.
Mr Stephens added: “The stability of the school is paramount to all of us and I can confirm the current deputy headteacher Mark Baines, with the support of all the staff, will lead the school until the end of term.
“This has been a difficult decision for Mr Doyle, and I would like to thank him for all his hard work and dedication over the last three years.”
As a Catholic school, All Hallows attracts students from across Surrey and Hampshire.
