IT was a unifying nativity for the pre-prep children at a Frensham school.

Reception year, year one and year two children at Edgeborough School performed their ‘Children of the World’ nativity with two brilliant performances before the end of term.

This year’s story saw children representing countries from around the world to join Gabriel and the angels at the manger’s side to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

The story helped discover the many different ways in which countries around the world celebrate Christmas and found that although there are special traditions for each country, everybody comes together to celebrate the same Christmas story.

Gill Iffland, head of years one and two at Edgeborough, was full of praise for the young ensemble and said: “Every child in the department played their part on stage, singing, memorising lines and delivering them with aplomb. It was a special way to start the Christmas season!”
