EACH year around 35,000 trainee teachers need to be recruited. To help with this, TESLA Teaching School Alliance is hosting a Train to Teach event, at Bohunt School in Liphook, this month.

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) runs an annual recruitment drive which plays a key role in attracting high-quality new entrants to the profession and NCTL will be on hand to help talented people through the application process.

There will also be teachers, universities, colleges and teaching school alliances from Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex, who will be helping visitors understand the routes into teaching.

One route into teaching is via School Direct which allows individuals to learn alongside some of the best teachers working in classrooms today, and be part of the team from day one.
