EGGAR'S School strengthened its link with Soma School in the Gambia this week, with a visit there from a seven-strong party of teachers, including a schoool governor, during the half-term holiday.
The trip, subsidised by Hampshire County Council, is intended to be the first of many exchanges between the two schools, with pupil visits planned for the future. Eggar's has already held fund-raising events to boost Soma's facilities.
